2004 Subaru Legacy is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, or wagon, available in 6 trims, ranging from the L Sedan [Limited Availability] to the 2.5 GT Wagon. 

• 2005 Subaru Legacy lineup comprises three sedan models and two station wagons. The sedan lineup consists of the L, the GT, and the GT Limited.
• 2004 Subaru Legacy  models are powered by Subaru's 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine, which produces 165 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a four-speed electronically controlled automatic is optional ($800).
• Subaru Legacy 2005  L models are equipped well, with anti-lock brakes; air conditioning; power windows, mirrors and locks; and AM/FM/cassette stereo.
• All Subaru Legacy GT models add a sport-tuned suspension, bigger wheels and tires, bigger front brakes, slightly different gear ratios, a limited-slip rear differential, sporty cloth upholstery and other features.
• Special Edition Subaru Legacy package includes a power moon roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, projector-beam halogen fog lights, a black leather-wrapped Momo-designed steering wheel and shifter as well as an in-glass antenna and wood grain-patterned interior trim.
